After completing her studies, Dr. Divakar started her practice as medical officer at CGHS in Bangalore, India for two years. From there, her practice took her to Muscat, Oman where she worked as a medical officer in Accident and Emergency for two years. Dr. Divakar later moved to the U.K. where she completed her post-graduate training and worked as family physician including her time as a trainer for the Oxford Deanery. She obtained her membership at the Royal College of General practitioners in the UK. Recently, Dr. Divakar has been practising as a family physician at Rexdale Medical Clinic, since 2016 after obtaining her full independent licence in College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario.
Her hobbies include traveling, music, and painting.
